Telthop(6180meter) J&K Himalaya
Telthop (6180 meter)peak situateesd to the north of Leh in the J&K Himalaya in the (Shyok River) Nubra valley is accessed via the Khardungla(5380 mtr). The highest motor able road in the world. This is area of considerable political and military sensitivity. We made first ascent ever to this peak with British expedition 2014 as a liaison officer.
Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival Delhi stay at hotel. IMF briefing.
- Day 2: Early morning Fly to Leh. Transfer to hotel. Eevening accmalitization walk to Shanti Stuppa built by Japanese.
- Day 3: Expedition planning. Visit to shey, Thikshey, monastery and shopping at Leh. Stay at hotel.
- Day 4: After breakfast drive to Hunder in Nubra valley via Khardung la pass(5380mtr) highest motor able road in the world. Stay at guesthouse/tents. Evening visit to cold desert where you can see Double hump camel.
- Day 5: Hunder to Lasermola(3400mtr)it is a 5 hour trek. Stays at tents.
- Day 6: Lasermola to Hunder Dok (4300meter) 8 hour trek. Trek is quite long and river crossing during trek.
- Day 7: Hunder dok to Base camp(4810mtr) 8 hour trek.
- Day 8: Rest day at base camp check your equipment.
- Day 9: Load ferry to camp 1 (5110mtr).
- Day 10: Establish camp1.
- Day 11: Summit Telthop(6180mtr). Stay at camp 1.
- Day 12: Camp1 to Base camp.
- Day 13: Base camp to Hunder dok.
- Day 14: Hunder dok to Hunder.
- Day 15: Hunder to Leh by taxi. On the way visit to Diskit monastery where you can see future Bhudha statue. Stay at Hotel.
- Day 16: Shoping day at Leh. Stay at Hotel.
- Day 17: Fly back to Delhi. IMF visit. Stay at hotel.
- Day 18: Early morning departure to respected place.
