Mt Indrasan(6221meter) H.P. Himalaya

Mt. Indrasan is considered to be one of the most difficult peak among the Himachal Himalaya. The approach to peak is through the steep rock gulley, vertical ice wall, gradient of this peak is between 70 to 80 degree. We made summit on this peak 17 sep 2007, first Indian successful ascent by Indian expedition team sponsor by Indian mountaineering Foundation. Virender Singh was the youngest climber among the team.it was great experience climb with our team leader Late subedar Amar prakash(SC).

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival Delhi transfer to hotel. IMF briefing. Evening 14 hour journey to Manali via ac Volvo buses.
  • Day 2: Arrival Manali and transfer to hotel. Evening accmalitization walk to Manu and Hadimba temple.
  • Day 3: After breakfast expedition planning.Shopping at Manali. Stay at hotel.
  • Day 4: Manali to Chattru via taxi (5 hour journey) over night stays at tent.
  • Day 5: Chattru to Shiyagoru(base camp)5 hour trek.
  • Day 6: Equipment check. Accmalitisation walk towards Hamta pass. Stay at base camp.
  • Day 7: Load ferry to Advance base camp back to base camp.
  • Day 8: Establish Abc camp and reckky towards camp1.
  • Day 9: Load ferry to camp 1.
  • Day 10: Rest Day.
  • Day 11: Load ferry to camp 1.
  • Day 12: Establish camp 1 . stay at camp 1.
  • Day 13: Summit day. Time to climb the mountain with good fitness .stay at camp 1.
  • Day 14: Reserve day for climbing.
  • Day 15: Camp 1 to base camp.
  • Day 16: Rest day at base camp.
  • Day 17: Shiyagoru to Chattru
  • Day 18: Chattru to Manali via taxi Stay at Manali
  • Day 19: Shopping day .evening by 4 pm time to catch the bus departure from Manali
  • Day 20: Transfer to Hotel in Delhi .IMF briefing.
  • Day 21: Fly back to respected places
  • Delhi – Manali – Chattru – Shiagoru – abc – camp1 – summit
