KUN(7077meter) J&K Himalaya
The Nun & Kun twin massif are located in the Zanskar range in J&K Himalaya. Italian mountaineer Mario Piacenza made the first ascent of Kun in 1913 via north East Ridge. Kun (7077meter) is 2nd highest peak in Zanskar Range. Nun(7135mtr ) is highest peak in Zanskar range. We went to kun expedition twice 2011 and 2012.Virender climb this peak with Austrian, Swiss team as a Liaison officer in 2011. People can see kun from Panikar, otherwise people have to reach camp2 6000 mtr. This is beautiful and technical peak good for climb.
- Day 1: Arrival Delhi. Brieffing at IMF. Stay at Hotel.
- Day 2: Delhi to Leh via flight. Evening accmalitization walk to Leh city and Shaanti stuppa. Stay at hotel/guest house.
- Day 3 to Day 4: Drive Leh to kargil(2676mtr)230km. Overnight stay at hotel.
- Day 5: Kargil to Golmatangus(4000mtr)sapath. Stay at tent.
- Day 6: Shapath Golmatangus to Base camp(6 hour trek).we go through glacier and moraine with mule. we can help on the way. Stay at camp
- Day 7 to Day 22:Climbing period.
- Road head to Base camp-4500 meter(9hour trek).
- Basecamp to Camp1-5350meter(4 hour).
- Camp1 to Camp2-6000meter(6hour)
- Camp2 to camp3 6200meter(4 hour
- Day 23: Base camp to Golmatangus (Shapath) 7hour trek..
- Day 24: Shapath to Kargil via taxi. Overnight Stay at hotel.
- Day 25: Kargil to Srinagar/Leh via taxi. Stay at hotel.
- Day 26: Sopping at Leh market. Stay at Hotel.
- Day 27: Leh to Delhi flight. Visit to IMF. Stay at hotel.
- Day 28: Departure to respected places.
